Attempt To Take Halaa

I joined a small raid of 3 to take Halaa in Nagrand. The Horde guards were at 0 of 15, and there appeared to be a single unflagged afk Horde in the center of Halaa. Seemed like a pretty good idea. The 3 of us flagged for PvP and stood in the center of Halaa.

I did further scouting and found a 70 Orc Shaman hiding in one of the buildings. I had him targeted and he wasn’t afk, so I alerted the others. He wasn’t doing anything, so I figured we could have held out until the capture bar moved into the blue for the Alliance takeover. The others, a rogue and a warrior, flushed the shaman out and we killed him. That must have gotten some Horde attention in Nagrand, and this ensued into a larger melee. About 8 Alliance, versus about 10 Horde.

We weren’t able to keep the Horde dead long enough, and the guards re-emerged. I did manage to get 6 Halaa Battle Tokens out of the ordeal.

After the number of guards rose to 6, the Horde seemed to be satisfied with a successful defense, and departed the area.  The problem is, Alliance is stubborn.  Sergeant Aldra, a shadow priest from Fire and Fury, joined our ranks.  Our raid swelled to 10 members, and we had them bombing the guards from three of the roosting positions.

We then did capture Halaa…the 65 Orc shaman who was afk was then promptly killed by Alliance guards.  Success!
