Luck Brings Several New Recipes
Kruenor has been out in Nagrand grinding and grinding away on the Vir’aani Arcanists, looking for the alchemy recipe that allows the creation of Major Arcane Protection Potions. I spent about two hours yesterday and two hours today waiting for it to drop. Finally, it did…my pet leveled twice in that search. Recipe: Major Arcane Protection Potion dropped after killing over 400 Vir’aani Arcanists.
As it happened, my luck would change. With that recipe learned, I rotated over to Shadowmoon Valley to begin the grind for the Shadow Protection Potion recipe. Working through the Shadow Council Warlocks at Legion Hold is a lot more interesting…these mobs have the random respawn timers…after killing them, sometimes they spawn after quite a while, but sometimes they spawn instantly. A variety of demons patrols the area. Legion Hold actually has quite a few quests in additional to being a hotspot for alchemy recipe grinding, so there are usually people in the zone.
After I slew fifteen Shadow Council Warlocks, Recipe: Fel Strength Elixir dropped. How fortuitous. I learned that one, and spent another half hour grinding. At fifty-one Shadow Council Warlocks into my grind, Recipe: Major Shadow Protection Potion dropped. This go-around, I was a lot better off than I was in Nagrand. Three new recipes learned, and it wouldn’t be my last.
I picked up some quests in the Deathforge area, and flew into the cavern itself to begin my quests. I actually had never gone in there before. There’s really a good mob density, although there were also about a dozen Alliance and Horde players running about killing things. On my first pass through, a Deathforge Smith dropped Recipe: Fel Regeneration Potion. That’s not a bad run in the space of a few hours today…four new alchemy recipes learned.
As I was exiting the Deathforge area, I killed one of the guards at the entrance to the cave in order to make my escape. He dropped Pattern: White Remedy Cape, which I am sending over to my tailor.
